Pasta Roller

After seeing the cost of pasta rollers and understanding the difficulty of rolling dough thin with a rolling pin, I decided to challenge myself to build my own simple pasta roller. After evaluating various existing designs, a hand crank mechanism using gears to power both rollers was chosen. Spacers were used to manually adjust the distance between the rollers from 3mm to 0.6mm in 0.6mm increments. The roller was made from 3D printed parts and wooden dowels, then clamped to the countertop to be stabilized when rolling the dough. A motorized crank may be added in the future.
